Business analyst · Project manager · Product specialist

I turn ambiguous business problems into practical solutions.

I gather the requirements, analyse the process, find the actual cause, design the solution, and drive it through delivery. The work is finished when the business is measurably better, not when the document is signed.

Selected work

Six projects, and what each one moved.

Chosen because together they prove the whole model: diagnosis, requirements, process redesign, system delivery, hands-on build, and a commercial result.

My approach

How I solve business problems

From unclear problems to measurable impact. I work out what is actually happening, decide what should change, and help deliver it.

Understand, then diagnose, then solve. The solution could be process improvement, automation, a system or ERP, or a digital product. I then take the roles it needs to deliver: business analyst, project manager, tester or UAT, and builder. That produces a delivered change, aimed at one of three business outcomes: reduce cost, increase profit, improve productivity.

Understand the real problem. Design the right solution. Deliver it end to end. Move a business number.

What I can do

Four capabilities, all of them evidenced above.

Business analysis

Turn an unclear business need into structured requirements a developer or a vendor can actually build against.

  • Discovery
  • Requirements
  • Process mapping
  • Gap analysis
  • Functional definition
  • Stakeholder alignment

Process improvement

Find where the time, money or quality is actually going, then redesign how the work gets done.

  • Current and future state
  • Root cause
  • Bottleneck analysis
  • Digitisation
  • Automation opportunity

Solution & project delivery

Take the proposal through implementation instead of stopping at the recommendation.

  • Planning
  • Stakeholders
  • Vendor and developer management
  • Data migration
  • UAT
  • Go-live

Product & automation execution

Where it is within reach, build the thing myself rather than wait for a queue.

  • Low-code and no-code
  • Workflow automation
  • Product definition
  • Operational tooling
  • Rapid prototyping
Experience

The same model, in very different rooms.

Banking, manufacturing, warehousing and owner-run businesses. The sector changes. The problem shape does not.

About

Now that you know what I can do.

Afiq Syahiran on the Marina Bay waterfront in Singapore, holding a University College Dublin degree folder.

I am Afiq Syahiran, based in Singapore. I started on a warehouse floor with a clipboard and ended up building the systems that replace the clipboard.

That is the whole arc, and it is why I am as comfortable in a requirements workshop as I am inside the tool doing the work. It is also why I do not hand over a recommendation and walk away.

Most people build or sell. I do both.

The ask

If something in your operation is manual, slow or unclear

Tell me what is going wrong. I will tell you whether it is a process problem, a system problem or a people problem, and what it would take to fix it.
